MEET THE TEAM
Project Director - Suchita Bahri
Suchita is the co-founder of Cutting to the Core and is currently a Core Surgical Trainee in Yorkshire. She is passionate about increasing inclusivity & improving access to education. She graduated with an MBBS and first class BSc in Medical Sciences from St. George's University, London. Suchita hopes to train in General Surgery with an interest in HPB.

Project Director - Sai Chauhan
Sai is a General and Endocrine Surgery senior trainee, with a PG Cert in Med Ed and a dedication to improving surgical training. He has been integral to sustaining our mission and has innovated the CTTC virtual Part B and Retake Rescue Programs. In addition, he has mentored the faculty to develop as leaders. Sai is an East Midlands trainee, completing his training with an OOPT within the Oxford Endocrine Surgery Unit.

Sarah founded Cutting to the Core with Suchita in 2020, after experiencing and seeing a lack of formal education for Core Trainees. She graduated from the University of Manchester in 2013, and is now a higher specialty trainee in General & Breast Surgery in the East Midlands. She is also pursuing a Masters in Surgical Education at Imperial College, London. Sarah has a passion for improving equity in medicine, mentoring, and workers' rights.

Oliver qualified from the University of Nottingham in 2021 and is completing his Foundation Training at the East Midlands Deanery. He is currently undertaking a Masters in Surgery at the University of Edinburgh, and is hoping to develop a career in General & Transplant Surgery. He joined the Cutting to the Core team in 2021 to assist in creating and organising an MRCS revision series to help budding surgeons achieve their goals.

Project Lead - Krupali Brahmbhatt
Krupali is currently a Core Surgical Trainee in the East Midlands. She is pursuing a career in ENT, and has taken a keen interest in teaching throughout her career. Krupali joined the Cutting to the Core team in 2021 as one of the project leads, organising and implementing sessions in line with the MRCS syllabus.

MRCS Part B Lead - Lydia Hiddema
Lydia is currently a Core Surgical Trainee in South Yorkshire, and has previously worked in Nottingham as a Surgical Teaching Fellow, and in the West Midlands, where she did her Foundation Training after graduating from the University of Birmingham. She joined the Cutting to the Core team in 2021, to help create an MRCS part B revision series which has been attended by trainees internationally. Lydia hopes to one day specialise in Plastic Surgery, and continue teaching throughout her career.

Communications & Improvement Lead - Neha Gadiyar
Neha graduated from St. George's, University of London with a BSc(Hons) and MBBS. She is currently working as a Foundation Year 2 trainee at Croydon University Hospital, London. Neha is passionate about education and inclusivity, and brings her enthusiasm to Cutting to the Core as the Communications & Improvement Lead.

IMT Lead - Maanya Bhardwaj
Maanya is a junior doctor currently working as an SHO in A&E. She is hoping to pursue surgery in the future, and is interested in General Surgery & ENT.
